sacramento

Networking! Valuable professional development! Exciting keynote speakers! Camaraderie abounding!!! Overwhelming fun!!!

Less than two weeks remain before we gather in Sacramento for what promises to be an outstanding National eXtension Conference/National Extension Directors and Administrators joint meeting! Hotels are jam-packed. Registration has peaked. Flights are booked! Side trips are researched (Napa Valley, Sutter’s Mill, and Old Sacramento are faves) and planned.

Pre-conference sessions feature iFilmmaking (booked to capacity), Building Connections in Social Media, and workshops on communications strategic planning as well as building “radar” for looking forward in Extension.

More than 30 exhibitors will be featured at the opening reception with welcomes from Dennis Calvin, Penn State University and chair, eXtension Governing Committee and Elbert Dickey, Executive Director, eXtension. The networking process for the conference begins at the reception. Sign up for Dinner for Six and discover the great restaurants and eateries Sacramento has to offer.

Our keynote speakers: Dave Gray and Jane Hart plus their colleagues Harold Jarche and Beth Kanter will lead attendees through exciting, creative and stimulating conversations around the future of learning and implications of building learning networks. More than 100 concurrent sessions will touch on subjects as diverse as maximizing social media to gaming to app development to digital badges. Check out all of the concurrent sessions on our Lanyrd site!

Oops! Did we mention FUN? eXtension has an Instagram experience planned for throughout the conference. Amy Hays and her crew will be capturing conference attendees for posterity AND a few laughs. In an article that follows you’ll see that eXtension folks will also be asking attendees to contribute to a video project! It will certainly be interesting!

But…behind all of the fun is some serious work! Start packing your bags! If you haven’t registered…it’s never too late!

See you there!!!!
