Regions Asked to Identify 2009 State Needs-Based CoP Priorities

CES directors/administrators are being asked to identify potential Communities of Practice that best match their top regional needs (excluding current and developing Communities of Practice) and potential Community of Practice leaders and institutional contributors. Directors/administrators are scheduled to identify their priorities at regional meetings being held this summer.

To assist them with this priority setting process, copies of the “Identifying Needs-based Issues for New eXtension Communities of Practice: Summary of Results” has been provided. As described below, the report includes findings from the recent survey field staff were asked to complete relative to identifying issues/topics around which they would like to see new Communities of Practice developed. Once regions have reported their priorities, the Governing Committee will identify five new subject matter areas around which new Communities of Practice will be organized and developed.
