CRM is also being used by Extension systems to keep track of their interactions with people, though the preferred term for the “C” in CRM may be clientele or contact. The webinar will provide an overview of what CRM is, what features are most relevant to Extension, and how using it can help Extension systems maintain their clientele relationships.Learn More & Register Innovation Facilitator Training, March 2019: Due to popular demand, we have decided to host another national Impact Collaborative Innovation Facilitator training to ensure all members have an opportunity to send an individual to be trained. The training is from March 12th-14th in Atlanta, GA. This second training opportunity is primarily for institutions that did not send an individual to be trained at our January 2019 session. There is no cost for our member Directors & Administrators to appoint one individual to send to this training. eXtension will cover registration, travel, lodging, meals, and per diem. The Spring Impact Collaborative Summit is from April 30th – May 2nd, 2019 in Atlanta, GA. Registration is available here. Each of our member Directors & Administrators have been provided a promo code to receive 5 free registrations to the Summit to send a project or program team. A registration fee will apply for additional teams. The Impact Collaborative Summit brings unique opportunities to create impactful results at the local level by increasing Cooperative Extension’s organizational readiness and capacity for innovation and change. Their skills help them lead innovation skill-building experiences at state or institutional events and at the national Impact Collaborative Summits.They join 50 other Impact Collaborative Innovation Facilitators across the Cooperative Extension System. Some of our newest Innovation Facilitators share their thoughts and experience from the January 2019 Impact Collaborative Innovation Facilitator Training University of Georgia Cooperative Extension hosts the Impact Collaborative The University of Georgia hosted an Impact Collaborative Innovation Skill-Building experience to build a culture of creativity and innovation to increase employee engagement. 57 people participated on 10 teams and were led by eXtension Staff and 3 trained Innovation Facilitators. According to Dr. Laura Perry Johnson, Associate Dean for Extension at the University of Georgia, “one of UGA Extension’s strategic goals is to give employees the time and space to explore innovative ideas and new ways to do things. The Impact Collaborative Innovation Skill-Building Experience in our state allowed us to do just that with 10 of our existing issue teams. They dedicated two full days to moving their issue or project forward. eXtension is also helping to support these teams and their efforts with quarterly “accountability” calls to be sure we stay on track.”Are you ready to bring the Impact Collaborative to your state or institution for an event? Contact To Learn More Creating a Credential for Extension Professionals A joint effort between the Joint Council of Extension Professionals (JCEP), the Extension Committee on Organization & Policy (ECOP), and eXtension is underway to create a credential for Extension professionals.At the summer board meeting of JCEP in 2018, Scott Reed, the ECOP liaison to JCEP offered the idea of an Extension credential. The JCEP Board supported this opportunity and charged a small group to look at a complete a business plan to determine if the financial costs of creating a credential was worthwhile to the JCEP organization.Chris Geith, CEO of eXtension, offered the support of eXtension to facilitate creating the competency framework required and needed for a professional credential. This is funded, in part, through eXtension’s New Technologies for Ag Extension grant.More information about this Extension Credential will be shared. The target for completion is Fall, 2019. 1890 Extension Leadership Academy The 1890 Extension Leadership Academy kicked last November in Atlanta, GA. The purpose of this effort is to encourage cross-collaboration among states on important issues as related to program areas, as well as build essential leadership skills for this cohort. The Academy fosters the incubation, development, and implementation of innovative ideas in the 1890 communities towards creating measurable impact.This six-month Academy began with a two-day innovation skill-building event from the Impact Collaborative to help participants representing 12 institutions from the 1890 Region learn an innovation process that they could use to accelerate their project and program teams back at their institutions.
