Working Differently
One of the ways eXtension measures success is if our presence helps Extension professionals work differently. For some, that means adopting new, but proven, technologies or practices and bringing those to their clients and collaborators. For others, that means living on the cutting edge and leading the way. Both are working differently.

Knowledge Network. What if you could quickly find other Extension experts or existing resources in your chosen field? What if an emerging issue means you need to find expertise or resources quickly on an unfamiliar topic? What if you could mine the entire Cooperative Extension System? We are getting closer to that possibility with an effort to create a knowledge network. The proof of concept is expected before the end of 2017 and will include a mobile e-book interface. Fellow Application Deadlines Extended. Do you have expertise in Behavioral Health or Diversity & Inclusion? If so, you should check out these opportunities to lead a major national program in each of these areas. Each fellowship is expected to be a one-year commitment of around .5-.7 FTE and will work as part of a team to ensure the success of each Collaborative cohort. Innovate Event. Earlier this year two of the Ed Tech Learning Network founders, Paul Hill, Utah State and Jamie Seger, Ohio State organized “innovate” events in Utah and Oregon. They are planning one in Delaware this October. Check out this video to get a sense of what taking a little time to focus on collaboration and ideas can do.
